In the heart of our Parisian workshop

30 years of
Savoir-faire

Arts and crafts and Made in France

Delphine-Charlotte Parmentier's jewellery is the result of thirty years' experience and constant exchange between its designers and craftspeople.

Designers, model-makers, welders, fitters and colourists exchange talent, experience, technical innovation and modernity, making each of our jewels unique, sophisticated, subtle and modern.

The key stages in making a piece of jewellery

Welcome to our jewellery workshop, where the boldest creations come to life.

Step 1

From inspiration to the start of design

Inspiration can come from anywhere, whether it's a work of art, nature or a simple detail of everyday life. Little by little, the style of the collection takes shape in the designer's mind; a moodboard is created, rich in materials and styles, to guide this creative exploration. The idea for the piece of jewellery is first sketched out on paper and then, where possible, modelled directly on a model, taking its first breath.

The selection of materials gives the jewellery a new dimension. From interlaced mesh to long chains, semi-precious stones to pearls and rhinestones, feathers to acetate, the abstract becomes concrete and the idea comes to life. At Delphine-Charlotte Parmentier, we love exploring materials, breathing life into them, and seeing our dreams come true.

Step 2

Moulding and creating cast iron

All our metalwork is authentic and carefully crafted in our Parisian jewellery workshop. From the paper pattern, the metal model takes shape thanks to the talent of the model makers in our workshop. Their expert hands transform the material into the perfect model for the final piece of jewellery.

Depending on the piece, the model then travels to our Parisian foundry to create a cast, usually in brass, from a mould of the model. The cast iron thus created is then meticulously polished until its surface is smooth and shiny, ready for further finishing touches.

Step 3

Finishing the jewel

After delicate cleaning, the piece of jewellery is given its final touch by galvanoplasty, draped in gold, palladium or ruthenium depending on the desired shade. The different parts of the jewel, carefully crafted, now await their final touches.

  • The rhinestones, a meticulous process requiring patience and finesse, adorn the jewellery with sparkling sparkles, bringing a dazzling light to each piece.
  • Gluing pearls, semi-precious stones and other decorative elements is a delicate task, where every gesture counts to fix these treasures harmoniously without marking the surface of the jewel.
  • Working with resin, where our craftsmen imagine and create unique chromatic creations, gives rise to original and innovative colours, directly in our jewellery workshop.

Step 4

Jewellery assembly and quality control

Once these steps have been completed, the different parts of the jewel are assembled with precision, carefully adjusted, to give birth to an exceptional piece, a true creation of jewellery art.

In this way, each piece of jewellery comes to life, sublimated by the expertise and passion of our craftsmen, and is then meticulously inspected, guaranteeing that it meets the highest standards of quality and design, before being worn to ensure its durability.
